About Play Therapy

Play therapy can be used to help to alleviate many children's emotional and behaviour problems.  However play therapy is not a miracle cure-all.  The latest research by Play Therapy UK suggests that 75% of children experiencing play therapy will show a positive change.

The severity of the problem will determine if play therapy on its own is likely to be successful and how long it is likely to take.  It is important to address a problem at an early stage, with a few play therapy sessions, to prevent it becoming worse.  A child with deep rooted, severe and complex problems may require longer term therapy.  The table below gives indications of the level of severity but it is recommended that you phone or email  me for a free consultation and discussion.
