| Your Child's Problems |
Clinical I have been a qualified social worker for 33years and have used therapeutic play in my work during that time. I have worked mostly with traumatised children and for the last 12 years I have worked with young people in residential care who have complex needs such as PTSD; Asperger’s syndrome; Attachment Disorder; disordered eating; self harm. Since qualifying as a play therapist I have provided weekly play therapy sessions for many of these young people placed in residential care.
I use a child/client centred approach and my play therapy style is primarily non-directive.
I have experience of court work both as a Local Authority social worker and as a Guardian ad Litem.
I also have experience of working with adult survivors of childhood abuse. |
