Your Child's Problems

Safety issues - physical, emotional and confidentiality are especially crucial for children. PTUK lays down guidelines for the safety of the child receiving play therapy. I comply with all of these:

Have an up-to-date, enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) Check	ü
Have completed or be undertaking a play therapy training programme recognized by PTUK	ü
Be receiving clinical supervision of their play therapy practice	ü
Conduct the sessions in a safe environment	ü
Work within PTUK's ethical framework or an equivalent	ü
Have adequate professional indemnity and public liability insurance	ü
Be using clinical governance (quality control) procedures	ü
Is undertaking regular professional training known as CPD to keep up-to-date	ü
